Recently, I was invited by a friend from Montreal, Canada, who was a competitor representing his home country, Slovenia, in this year's NYC Judo Tournament. I took this pic during the awards ceremony that happened after the final matches.

It was really cool to watch the judo fights.

A friend and I went to the NY botanical gardens and it was such a treat for us to smell the wonderful scents of the roses in the garden. Now if only I can find a bottled scent of a rose that comes close.

Last night, a friend and I decided on a whim to hop on one of those double decker tour buses in Times Square. He and I have never done the tourist thing since we live here. I've only ever done the touristy thing when friends would come to visit. The tour was fun, but it was cold!

FYI, remember to bring a jacket.
